Craniosacral Therapy & Chi Gung Tui Na

I have been using a combination of these methods for over twenty years. In that time I have helped countless individuals achieve various goals, from weight loss to improved posture to chronic pain relief and remission of incurable conditions. It is my hope that through these methods I can help as many people achieve and maintain as good as health as possible.
Performed on a table with the client fully clothed, both of these therapies are very light touch and in most case require no more than the weight of a nickel amount of pressure.

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger after years of clinical testing and research at Michigan State University where he served as professor of biomechanics.

Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams – about the weight of a nickel – practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it''s effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

Chi Gung Tui Na

This therapy's name comes from a combination of two phrases in Chinese, "Chi Gung" which means energy development or cultivation and "Tui Na" (pronounced "tway nah") which means "push-pull". So in essence it is working with the Chi or life energy in a person in order to clear and balance the chi or energy of a person.
One of the most unique aspects of this way of working with the body is it's ability to clear issues on various levels from the muscles & connective tissues to the tendons, joints,& ligaments. Chi Gung Tui Na also allows access to the nerves, internal organs, literally every aspect of a person can be balanced and supported in a session.

Both, Craniosacral Therapy and Chi Gung Tui Na, view the body not as a static, unchangeable mechanism, but more more as a fluid filled dynamic collaboration of processes that has immense capacity for adaptability and fluid change. Using gentle techniques, we look for imbalances in your entire system and look for ways to bring all aspects of a particular issue into harmony and cooperation. Performed on a table through street clothes this gentle method can support a move toward better health in almost all cases and conditions.
